Giving thanks in the cold

Giving thanks in the cold

Wow its cold outside! Negative three (-3) degrees on December 27.  And our operations people are happy!  Happy that it’s cold?  No, happy for their new Carhartt insulated coveralls.  A donor this fall asked that their contribution be used for something needed in the maintenance operations area.  After discussions with our operations manager, we decided to use part of the donation for insulated coveralls for each of our grounds personnel.  The team got fitted and the coveralls arrived before the cold weather.

We appreciate donations made to the cemetery, and are careful to use the contributions in the best way possible. Our operations team is very appreciative that this donor made their life a little easier this winter as they minister to families who have lost a loved one.  Let’s each take a moment to pray for all who work outside this winter, the unsung heroes that bring a little warmth into our lives.  And, let’s also say a prayer for all donors who generously make a difference in the lives in our community.

God Bless.
Deacon Dan
