Calvary Cemetery
Calvary Cemetery opened with an official consecration by the Most Reverend Gerald J. Bergan, in Omaha on Sunday, September 21, 1952, although the first burial was an infant in Holy Innocence on November 7, 1951. The cemetery is designed as a memorial park where there are no upright monuments.
Centrally located at 78th and West Center Road, Calvary Cemetery is laid out in sections by the Stations of the Cross and has two mausoleums: Chapel of the Apostles and Chapel of the Suffering Christ. The main office for the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Omaha is located at Calvary Cemetery.
