Career Transition – Thanks Catholic Cemeteries

Career Transition – Thanks Catholic Cemeteries

Succession planning is critical for all types of business.  Not less so at Catholic Cemeteries.  To most effectively transition the organization for the future, I’ve decided to take early retirement following 6 ½ years of serving our employees and the community as director of Catholic Cemeteries – Archdiocese of Omaha.  It has been great to utilize all the skill sets from my years in the public sector, from Organizational Design, Budgeting, Strategic Planning, HR and Marketing, to the ministerial aspects of caring for the families who look to us to walk with them during a very difficult time in life.  I owe much to the employees and Board of Directors at Catholic Cemeteries, the funeral homes and vendors we work with, the priests and deacons who perform committals here, and the families who touched our lives.   May God bless all of you.  We have found an exceptional replacement in Deacon Steve Hill who will begin in early August.  If I’ve done my job correctly, he will be more successful than I have been.  That’s what good leaders are supposed to do…set others up for success, and just fade into the background.  I want to thank all the people that I’ve had the opportunity to work with and interact, all the families and individuals that I’ve had the privilege of praying with, and to God for leading me down this path. God Bless.  Deacon Dan Keller
