The Advent Season connects memory and hope. This Holy Season awakens in us the most profound memory of God who so loved the world that he sent his only Son to redeem His Father’s creation. This is a time of healing and hope. It is the Church’s sincere desire to continually remind and rehearse this great history of memory for each of us. Even in the despair of having lost a loved one, it is of holiness that we take on the task of Advent to remember and to waken in all of us the memories of God’s goodness and thus being to live in hope.
The Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Omaha invite those who have lost loved ones to join us each Wednesday, December 2nd, 9th, and 16th at 65:00 PM in Holy Angels Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery. We will pray for your peace and healing as we await the come of the Christ Child. Come and leave your petitions at the Christmas Remembrance Tree. They will be offered in prayer during all of Advent and presented silently during the January 2021 Memorial Mass.
